What are the costs involved if my drive requires additional parts or more extensive works?

As the entire recovery process is handled in house, we are able to keep our prices low. We have invested in up-to-the-minute hardware and software together with an armoury of data recovery tools which enable us to provide an efficient and professional service.

Although each case is assessed individually and will depend on the time spent and the type of work required, our average costs for a physical recovery on a standard hard drive are in the region of £300 plus VAT.

How long will I have to wait?

For those drives which do not require physical "surgery", we are able to handle most cases within 48 hours. We have experienced occasions when parts of the hard drive are critically damaged, which holds the process up but this is not commonplace.

What data do I get back?

East Anglian Data Recovery Services Ltd practice is to recover all the data possible from your failed hard drive. Our pricing structure, unlike others, does not charge per GB of data and as we have to undertake the complete recovery process regardless of the fact that you need one file or 300 files, we feel this is the fairest way to operate.

How do I pay?

Our preferred method of payment collection is by valid credit/debit card. For those customers who do not have credit or debit cards, we do accept BACS Payment (faster option via on line banking, please ask for our account details). We also accept Paypal for those with an account. We are also able to accommodate cheque payments but please note, we are unable to dispatch the data back to you until payment has cleared.

What happens next?

We return the recovered data to you in whichever format you require. If you have your own external hard drive, for example, you can send this to us at the outset and we will transfer the data to this for you. If you do not have your own media source, we are able to purchase this on your behalf, charging only the price we have paid. Once you have advised us of your preference, your hard drive is securely packed and returned to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery or Designated Courier.
